As the compulsory song of The Worldwide Eisa Festival 2011 and support song for The 5th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival, both events being held in Okinawa Pref., Kazufumi Miyazawa's song "Shinkanucha" is now being released in limited sale on Okinawa.
It will be coupled with "Shima", an original song from Jake Shimabukuro with lyrics written by Kazufumi Miyazawa. Shima is a revised studio version of the same song previously performed in Nipponia ~ Japanese and Okinawa Songs That Echoes Around The World event in Ginowan City, October 2011.
CD release date is Jan 27th, 2012. People living outside Okinawa may also purchase it using the mail order service available in Online Shop section of High Wave's website listed below.

One of Okinawa's traditional events where you can enjoy Eisa is Festa Machida 2011 that will be held from Sept 10-11, 2011 in six places including Haramachida Main Street just in front of Machida station, Tokyo.
Festa Machida began in 1996 when Machida City invited Goya Youth Group from Okinawa City to perform through its social welfare exchange program with Okinawa City and Yomitan village. Many eisa teams from all over Okinawa participate in the festival every year, and with around 50,000 viewers recently, it has thus become Machida City's biggest festival.
The 47th Youth Furusato Eisa Festival will be held in Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha from Sept 3-4, 2011. It will be a big event attended by many Eisa teams, each will perform their dance ranging from Traditional Eisa to Creative one. This year, Kamitakaku Youth Association from Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture is scheduled to perform in a friendship performance.
Besides being used as support song for both The Worldwide Eisa Festival and the 5th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival held simultaneously, this song, contributed by Kazufumi Miyazawa, is also being adopted as compulsory song for The Creative Eisa Contest

The Worldwide Eisa Festival 2011 will include "traditional" as well as new "creative" Eisa performances.
The theme features the Ryukyu Islands and its inhabitants, and the love the people have for the ocean that surrounds them. This is an opportunity to experience "Chimudon" and be moved by the music which will certainly touch your inner spirit.
This festival will also give the participants the opportunity to make new acquaintances, "Shinkanucha".
Join us and be part of an exceptional event that will surely send a message from the Ryukyu Islands to the world and make its mark on the 21st Century.
