A new concept for " Worldwide Eisa Festival 2011"

The Worldwide Eisa Festival 2011 will include "traditional" as well as new "creative" Eisa performances.
The theme focuses on the Ryukyu Islands and its inhabitants, the love the people have for the ocean that surrounds them. This is an opportunity to experience "Chimudon" and be moved by the music which will certainly touch your inner spirit.
This festival will also give the participants the opportunity to make new acquaintances,
"Shinkanucha".
Join us and be part of an exceptional event that will surely send a message from the Ryukyu Islands to the world and make its mark on the 21st Century.

1.The Athletic Stadium 1)Traditional Eisa : Total 18 groups
Saturday, October 15th = 6 groups       
Sunday, October 16th =12 groups   

2)Chimudon [passion] Stage : Total 8 groups       
Oct 15th (Sat) = 6 groups       
Oct 16th (Sun) = 2 groups

2.The Sub-ground 1) Creative Eisa Competition : Total 29 groups       
Oct 15th (Sat) = 18 groups       
Oct 16th (Sun) =18 groups
(8 groups will qualifier to the next round )    



①Championship Category = 18 groups

②Junior category = 9 groups           
Oct 16th (Sun) = 9 groups     

③Kids category = 2 groups

The performance will be assessed in the following four area.

1)Originality and creativity
Does the performance shows the originality and creativity?

2)Harmonious and unity
Is the team well managed and how in sync were the performers ?

3)Expressivenesss
Were the performers able to convey their emotions?
※Each team will be interviewed prior to their performance. The team members are asked to narrate their dance before the performance.

4)Entertaining
What is the audience's reaction to the performance?

※In addition to the scoring system by a judge. "does the drum used?", "number of performer", "performance time". The secretariat confirmed that according to the criteria and if fewer than the criteria, be penalized.
Creative Eisa Contest Award
・Championship Category (18 teams /no restrictions on the performer's)

  1)Championship Prize・・・Championship flag, certificate of merit, a prize of 300,000 JP yen, extra prize
  2)Second place・・・trophy , certificate of merit, a prize of 150,000 JP yen, extra prize
  3)Judge special award・・・Trophy, certificate of merit, a prize of 100,000 JP yen, extra award

・Junior Category (9 teams /Junior group that consists of ninth grade and below.

  1) Championship Prize・・・・Trophy, certificate of merit, extra award
  2) Second place・・・ Trophy, certificate of merit, extra award
  3) Judge special award ・・・Trophy, certificate of merit, extra award

・Kid's Category (2 teams/Elementary group that consists of third grade and above)

Commemorative medals and prizes will be awarded to all the participating groups.
